EFIWE GISTS: New Tests Conducted, UI College Of Medicine Provost And Deputy Provost Are Negative To #COVID-19 After Self Isolation And Treatments | READ!


UNIBADAN EFIWE can confirm that the Provost and Deputy Provost of the University of Ibadan, UI, College of Medicine, Professors Ezekiel Olapade-Olaopa and Obafunke Denloye, have now tested negative to Coronavirus (COVID-19). 

This good news is coming days after   It was made known by Olopade-Olaopa, in a Whatsapp group message on Sunday morning. The message reads; “Dear colleagues, I wish to inform you that the deputy provost and I tested positive for the COVID-19 following the tests done on Friday. Although we are both asymptomatic, we have gone into self-isolation for the 14 days while our contacts are being observed closely to determine if they should also be tested.”





According to fresh reports from a reliable source, the Deputy Provost, Professor Obafunke Denloye has been in self isolation and been receiving treatments and on Tuesday, a new test was conducted for both the Provost and Deputy Provost which showed that they are now negative to Coronavirus and they are among the 20 discharged patients.
