Journey to a First class from the prestigious University of Ibadan

It all seems like yesterday, I got admission into the school of my dreams on second attempt. I remember packing my bags in preparation for resumption 😂. Ibadan was definitely different from the bustle of Lagos.

I'm most thankful for my 100level roomates Vera Korie,   Igbagboyemi Adegoke  and Ibukun. They were all in their finals at that time but they took the extra effort to prepare me for the journey that is University of Ibadan.  I remember when Vera made emphasis on doing great at school but still getting actively involved in student organizations. This spurred me on to joining AIESEC, CFIUI, TEDx UI, FAME Foundation, Inspiro Persona, A thousand socks initiative and every volunteer opportunities that came by.

Building a solid foundation is keyyy✔✔✔. I started out with a 6.4/7.0 cgpa and afterwards maintaining my cgpa was a huge task. How do I actively gain work experience and still do well in school? Well, the answer is setting priorities. My goal was to graduate with good grades, build relationships and have fun while trying.

I modelled, volunteered, featured in a song( shout out to Proof the Sensei), did runway, took android development courtesy Andela on Udacity, served God at CFI UI and met the most amazing people.

My classmates are the best!!! Shout out to Busola(The best course rep ever), Chika the baby girl, Henry, Tomi, Bunmi, Lola, Osuji, Bolu, Tolu .... You guys made learning fun and bearable at times.

My roomates at every level in St Anne's; Olatoun, Chioma, Uduak, Pelumi(s), Jumoke, Funa, Favour, Ore. My friends turned family, Shout out to Chiamaka Nwangwu, Ofure, Tomisin, Dotun, Triumph, Efosa, Enitan, Esohe.....the list is endless. The hostel became my second home because of you guys.

My lecturers at the Department of Geography were amazing. On getting to the department, i heard many people say "Geography is hard", "Making a first class is tough", "Geo lecturers are sadists" etc. I went on to building relationships WITH Dr. Fashae, Dr. Taiwo, Dr. Osayomi, Dr. Olusola, Prof. Adenekan, Prof. Aweto....the list is endless . Thank you so m7ch for going out of your wat to give us the very best!

My family for their unflinching support! Thank you Mum and Dad for going the extra mile to affording comfort at a private hostel to making sure I didn't run our of cash even in the tightest situation. Shout out to my amazing siblings, i love you so much!

Ultimately to God for his faithfulness and grace for excellence on all sides! Thankful for life and opportunities won and lost, friends, family and everyone I came in contact with.

This is just the beginning 💃💃💃. Watch out for me😇. Hello World!

Congratulations Toun and We wish you more success in all your endeavors.
