EFIWE NEWS: NYSC Opens Portal For UI Students For Mobilisation | READ!

Following the compliance of the University of Ibadan with the necessary process for the mobilisation of its students for the mandatory one-year national service scheme, the National Youth Service Corps, Abuja, has opened its portal for the graduates of the University of Ibadan for registration.

According to the University Registrar, Mrs Olubunmi Faluyi, "the officer in charge of the institution's NYSC scheme has informed me that the NYSC's portal is already opened for UI students to start their registration and she is, at present, in Abuja to submit our uploaded entries today."

The Registrar said she had, over the weekend, informed the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka that she had "endorsed all the six booklets containing the names of our students for mobilisation on Friday. The officer will be in Abuja on Monday, until then the portal cannot be opened", assuring the VC that the University is on top of the situation.

The VC also assured that the institution will continue to place a premium on the interest of the students in a statement by the University's Director of Public Communication, Mr Olatunji Oladejo.

This development lays to rest the fears earlier expressed by the affected students, parents, guardians and other stakeholders on the possibility of UI students missing the mobilisation for this service year.
