On the 1st of January 2019, DFF Beads officially unveiled its brand identity with a new logo. During a quick chat on “Gifted Hands” with Unibadan EFIWE, Deborah Oluwafunmiso Jibona, who’s the Chief Executive Officer of DFF Beads spoke more about her newly launched brand. Cop below;

Can We Meet You?

I’m Deborah Oluwafunmiso Jibona. A 300 level student of the department of Adult Education, University Of Ibadan. 

Tell Us briefly about DFF Beads as a brand?

We make and sell stylish hand made beads for both men and women.

DFF Beads carry out trainings for people who are interested in learning the basis as well as re-trainings to update people who have idea about bead making before but needs to be updated. 

We also rent out beads to makeup artists and others who need beads for one or more occasions.

How did you get your idea or concept for DFF Beads?


I got my concept since I was little but I just wanted take it to another level by giving people what they want and at affordable prices. 
    


 What differentiates your beads from the competition?

The quality, uniqueness and its affordability. 

If I want to order a bead from you, what’s the duration for delivery and how would I get my order?

The duration for delivery depends on the style/design the client wants and the location it would be delivered to. 

Who’s your role model currently in the Fashion Industry?

 Smiles.. Her name is Omotara Morgan, she’s a fashion designer and the CEO of @Omg.couture and @littypartypops. 

How many years have you been into beads-making?

It been over 2 years and I’m grateful to God for everything. 
 



So is it safe to say that you started making beads right from your 100 level days? 

Yes. It was during my 100level first semester break that I learnt and started making beads. 
 


 
How do you cope with lectures  and beads making? Maybe if there’s a clash between the titans? 


Smiles.. For me, my lectures does not affect my passion.
I attend my lectures when I'm suppose to and I attend to business when I need to. There is no clash whatsoever.

Aside from bead making, what else do you do during leisure?

I bake and I assist my elder sister in making her beauty care products

What’s your own definition of beauty?

To me, beauty is what you see and feel that gives you confidence in yourself. 

Do you deliver with University of Ibadan and its environs only or Nationwide?

I don’t just deliver within Ibadan, I do Nationwide delivery. 

Do you just make beads for occasions or also train others who might have interest in making beads?

I don’t just make beads for different occasions, I also do training sessions for anyone who’s interested.

What advice do you have for others who are interested in your profession?


Start from somewhere because a thousand miles starts with a step. Also, believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself as well as your goals, no matter how many motivational books you read you'll never get motivated.
