The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Oyo State chapter, on the 22nd of March 2018., met with the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission at the state Headquarters of the commission in Oyo State.
The NANS chairman, Comr. Moronkola Teslim Abiola in his introductory speech emphasized the need for INEC to work with students for free, fair and credible election.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barr. Mutiu Agboke, a former student union president and Human Rights activist commended the Moronkola Teslim led administration for recognizing her role as a major stakeholder in the fourth coming election.
In conclusion, he advised the student leaders to maintain balance between their academics and unionism and more so encouraged Nigerian Students to get their pvc, and volunteer to work hand in hand with inec in the forthcoming election and report any problem to the commission.
He also urge the NANS leadership in the State to continue to be approachable so as to enhance good working relationship amidst them, public office holders and students in the state.
