EFIWE NEWS: UISU Pres. Ojo Aderemi Visit Gov. Ajimobi, Seeks Governor's Intervention

In a reconciliation move to douse tensions, as regards the ongoing Students Crisis rocking the 69year old University of Ibadan, the President of the Students' Union, University of Ibadan, Ojo Aderemi paid a call to His Excellency Gov. Ajimobi, Governor of Oyo State at the Government House, Agodi.



The sole aim of his visit was to clarify the rumours concerning the resolution to disrupt the May 29/Democracy Day Press Conference of the Governor. As well as seeking the possible intervention of the Governor to wade into the crisis at hand.


Gov. Ajimobi while responding, emphasized his support for Students' Unions in the State, particularly the University of Ibadan. He however advised "His Son" Ojo Aderemi to try to engage the University management on how to move the university forward to the next level and to seek means to adequately interact with relevant authorities, in order to forestall future crisis.


The Governor offered to also broker a reconciliatory meeting between the University management and the Students' Union as soon as he gets a letter from the Students' Union requesting for his intervention.
