According to reports reaching UE, a thief was caught few minutes ago at Mellanby Hall, University of Ibadan after a failed operation of stealing phones in one of the rooms.
According to our source who narrated the incident, He said; "The thief was caught on the second floor trying to steal from room A37. He came into the room and didn't know that someone was at the balcony there trying to sort out himself.
So he wanted to pick up the guy's phone when the guy shouted "Who's There"
Immediately, the guy moved out of the room. By the time the occupants of the room got back to the room, he started forming like as if he was making a phone call and they were actually two that came. The other guy ran away when he heard someone saying "Who's there" so the thief wanted to flee but boys caught him before he could run away.
When we the Excos were notified, we went downstairs to at least shield him from the boys because they were about to kill him."
"We called the security, we took him there and we were told to come back tomorrow so that we can begin investigation fully. He was also caught with charms on him" He added.
