EFIWE GISTS: UIODL Debaters Wins Director's Debate With 71 Points Against NOUN + PHOTOS



The battle line was drawn right at Prof Issac Folorunsho Adewole Hall (PIFA Hall) as Debaters from University Of Ibadan ODL and National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) debated on the topic "NIGERIA SINCE MAY 29th, 2015; Virtues And Shortcomings.

Debaters from NOUN debated about the Virtues while UIODL talked about the Shortcomings.

Representing NOUN was Badmus Yinka (Chief Speaker) and Stella Johnson (Second Speaker) while Ajao Tunji (Chief Speaker) and Aderibigbe Tommie (Second speaker) represented the Premier University.
In attendance was the UIDLC Director, Prof Bayo Okunade, UIDLC Deputy Registrar, Prof. Adewunmi, Prof. Lafenwa from Department of Political Science, other top officials and staffs of DLC and NOUN.


Also Students of the Premier University and Students from NOUN were all present to support their colleagues and it was educative, innovative and also full of excitement as issues about the Nation were listed as points and addressed.

After much deliberations, the debate was put to an end, results were announced in which UIODL won the Director's Debate with 71points while NOUN got 60points.

In conclusion, there was presentation of Awards in which Prof. Bayo Okunade was given a " Leadership Award" and other Staffs were also Awarded.

 The representatives of UIODL and NOUN were also awarded for their brilliant performances and for also participating in the Debate in which their awards were presented to them by UIDLC Director, Prof. Bayo Okunade.

The Debate came to a closure with a Closing Remark by UIDLC SRC Pres. Hon. Ezekiel after then the School Anthem and the National Anthem was recited by everyone present at the Hall. There was also Photo Sessions with the Director, Debaters, Officials and SRC Excos.

 Students were also granted the opportunity to take photographs with their Amiable Director, Prof. Bayo Okunade.

We hope the points shortlisted by the Debaters would be useful for the development and Progress of the Nation.
