EFIWE NEWS: The Project Work Team Is Committed To Service Delivery To Students - 2015/2016 UISU Excos (Project Work Team) Welcomes All Uites

GREATEST UITES!!!

Good day friends! The entire members of the Executive Council of the Students' Union use this great privilege to welcome everyone back on campus for continuity of academic and extracurricular activities, It is our believe that God will grant each and everyone of us success in our various disciplines.

It is no longer news that the state of the Nation's economy is not favourable to the common man. Prices of commodities have risen far beyond the affordability of so many Nigerians as a result of the fuel subsidy removal; yet, salaries are not been paid by so many state governments, most governments are still owing workers' salaries for some couple of months and as students, our allowances did not increase, so as to meet our demands for some of these commodities.

Rather, some of us have our allowances reduced while some do not even get them anymore; as a result of the non payment of workers' salaries. Instead of getting financial allowances together with the regular prayers that our parents give to us while going back to school, most of us now get the prayers alone and then turn out to pray for them for God's provision.

State of the Hall Cafeterias

Our attention has been drawn to the fact that some cafeterias within the halls of residents have taken advantage of the state of the Nation's economy, by increasing the price of commodities and the price of a spoon of grains from the initially agreed ₦30 to their own new price of ₦50

The Position of the Students' Union

Executivesofe hereby bring to your notice that it has been unanimously agreed by _the meeting of the Students' Union Executives, Hall Chairpersons and Hall cafeterias_ which was held yesterday Friday, 17th of June, 2016 with the school management that _prices of food and its commodities MUST remain at STATUS QUO until a newly regulated price is released on Monday, 27th of June, 2016_

Any cafeteria who can not maintain status quo, have been asked to close up pending the time the new price regulation would be out._ Once again, we reiterate that students are only to buy commodities at same price they are sold before we went on break.

The PROJECT WORK TEAM is committed to service delivery to students. Do feel free to relate issues bothering you to us.

Thank you very much for your usual understanding and cooperation.

HAPPY RESUMPTION
