Today was the Second Day of The #Occupy UI Protest. The University Of Ibadan Main Gate, was shut down and Students of the University were showing their displeasure by protesting for the Freedom of Michael Epketti aka MOTE who's a 500Level Student of the Department of Petroleum Engineering who was given One Semester Rustication for a peaceful protest and also because of Lack of basic amenities like Water and Electricity in the University Campus.

The Protest held for hours as Students of  the University were chanting "FREE MOTE" while some were chanting "NO SDC". According to Reports reaching Unibadan Efiwe, the Student Union President said the Management are not ready to listen to the voice of the Students concerning the Reinstallment of MOTE so the Protest continues.

Few Hours later, There was a press release by the Management that Students of the University should vacate their Halls of Residence by 4pm today because the University has gone on an indefinite Break.

The Press Release made by the Management worsened the whole situation as Students of the University went to different Halls of Residence mobilising themselves and making sure they all came out for the Protest and to join the Struggle.

They were all chanting and singing in one Voice " No Going Home", Some Students were seen already on their way home with their luggage but the Protesters sent them back to their Halls of Residence. They even assisted some of their colleagues going home to carry their luggage back to their Halls of Residence.

As at the time this reports was filed, Students of the University Of Ibadan were at the  University Main Gate showing their displeasure about the Press Release that was released by the Management and most of them made up their minds and insisted that They are not going Home.
