IGBONEKWU VALENTINE has recently emerged as the new Chief of the prestigious Sigma Club, University of Ibadan. The 500 Level Student of the Faculty of Law, who was the club's treasurer during the 2016/2017 Sigma Year, rose to power at the Sigma Club Financial Meeting held at the Tedder Hall SCR on Saturday, 17th February, 2018.
Valentine, as he is popularly known on campus, has previously served as the Hall Secretary, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall.
He served as the General Secretary of the National Council of Enugu State Students.
He is the CEO of KeeVee Foundation. He was nominated for the FOPA "Most Outstanding In UI Personality" (2016/2017).
He is currently being nominated for the award for the "Most Influential Student in Nigeria (Male)" at the ongoing Nigeria Hype Awards.
He succeeded Offordum Pascal (official licensee, TedXUI), as the Sigma Chief for the 2017/2018 Sigma year.
The meeting also saw the coming into position of other Loyal Sigmites as executive, viz;
- Loyalist Yusuf Waheed - Sigma Deputy Chief. (A 400 level student of Physiology).
- Loyalist Aigbogun Theophilus -Sigma Chief Scribe. (A 500 level student of Law).
- Loyalist Ogunde Wallace Oladimeji - Sigma Deputy Scribe. (A 500 level student of Veterinary Medicine).
- Loyalist Emeribe Victor -Sigma Financial Scribe. (A 500 level student of Law.)
- Loyalist Ogolu Harrison Chukwuebuka - Sigma Treasurer. (A 300 level student of Zoology).
- Loyalist Ola-Williams Olaoluwa - Chairman, Publicity Committee. (A 400 level student of Veterinary Medicine).
- Loyalist Agbaje Mujeeb - Chairman, Investment and Special Duties Committee. (A 500 level student of Electrical/Electronics Engineering).
- Loyalist Abiodun Samuel Oluwaponmile - Chairman, Security Committee. (A 400 level student of Veterinary Medicine).
Also at the meeting, Loyalist Adesope 'Femi was honoured with the meritorious award as the "Most Dedicated Executive" and the "Best Graduating Loyalist".
Loyalist Ogunde Wallace was also awarded the "Most Admired Loyalist".
