According to reports reaching Unibadan Efiwe, an incident occurred yesterday at the Queen Idia Hall Variety Night in which a crowned Queen was dethroned within minutes after She was crowned winner.
According to reports, a Particular girl was announced winner of the beauty pageant by the Judges but her crown was removed by Queen Idia Hall Chair, Heritage who later crowned someone else.
Moments ago, Queen Idia Hall Chair confirmed the reports and explained the reason behind the unforeseen incident, She said;
Firstly, We appreciate everyone who came around but you guys were not the ones who handled their booth camp and rehearsals.
No dispute,The Miss Idia was worth it, how come no one said anything when I requested that Number 6 should not be allowed to repeat questions again?
I have the score sheets and Its obvious that the person who was supposed to come first position or 1st runner ups were not the ones announced yesterday. The miss Phantabulous in all honesty was between contestants number 2 and 3 respectively.
@Olumekor Patrick....if you wanna argue about public opinion coming first, then I believe the public were right to express their grief when Contestant number 1 who didn't merit it was given the crown.
Audience and the people around were not blind too. You don't just judge like that. There were little influencing here and there and I honestly dont know when Nigeria will grow up or be free from corruption even when We organise a University pageant and the right set of people are not being crowned.
2 years ago, there was issue with this same Phantabulous and Even last year.I respect the judges decision ooooo. But haba...lets talk where we are supposed to talk. Olumekor ehn....please think of how to Impact indy hall and not how to rant on Idia pageanty.
And I did not remove the crown from the girl's head. But right now.....the crown has been ordered to be given to Number 1, the issue will be resolved by the hall management of Queen Idia hall.
