The General Overseer of Mountain Of Fire And Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Olukoya has also spoken on the raging tithe controversy sparked by controversial On-Air-Personality, Daddy freeze.
On Sunday, 3rd December, 2017, the General Overseer, Dr. Olukoya insisted that paying of tithes and offering is not compulsory, it should be done voluntarily.
Speaking during the Sunday service at the MFM HQ Lagos, on the topic, ‘The Power Of Primitive Faith’, Dr. Olukoya in his words, said;
"There's no where in the bible where it's compulsory for you to pay offerings or tithes. If God said, pay your tithes and I would open the windows of heaven, if you don't pay its your choice.
Some people have grown beyond the 10% God is asking for. Some pay 25% even 30% it's voluntarily.
If you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully. If you think your pastors steal your money, I won't say Pastors don't steal of course some pastors do. If you say Pastors steal your tithes and offerings, it's no problem just take your money, look for the address of the Almighty God and give him personally."
It's a disgrace to your salvation if you are sleeping with a witch or wizard in your university campuses or colleges and you don't know about it.
There's a Kind of faith that's honored and rewarded in the scripture. There's no where in the bible where you are allowed to accept what the devil dishes out, no where in the bible where you should be a door mat for others to pass through. There's no where in the bible where you are expected to tolerate insults from the powers of darkness."
"There's a covenant with MFM and I want you to know about it for those who doesn't. The God of MFM has Zero tolerance for harassment by the enemy on any member of MFM. Any native doctor that wants to die doesn't need poison, let him just harass a member of MFM". He added.
