Theo Walcott gave the visitors an early lead, but Pep Guardiola’s men fought back in the second half to leapfrog them and Liverpool into second place in the table

Manchester City were able to recover from an early goal to beat Arsenal 2-1 in Sunday’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring just five minutes into the game, taking a through ball from Alexis Sanchez on and beating Claudio Bravo.

City were able to pull level early in the second half, though, as Leroy Sane beat Petr Cech after a ball over the top from David Silva.

Raheem Sterling gave City the lead in the 74th minute when he took down a pass from Kevin De Bruyne and cut inside before burying it past Cech.

The win puts City second in the league ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool, who can take the spot back if they beat Everton on Monday.
