Meet Olayinka Moremi Olowokere, a 400 Level Engineering Student of Federal University Of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
Olayinka hails from Ondo State, She was Born on September 24, 1995 to the family of Barr. And Prof. (Mrs) Olowokere. She's the 3rd out of 6 Children.
She started her Primary School education at Grand Nursery and Primary School, Akure later attended Greater Tomorrow Int' College, Arigidi Akoko, Ondo for her Secondary School education before She was admitted to Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2013 to study Electrical Electronic Engineering.
Unibadan Efiwe met up with Olayinka Moremi, who became 2nd Runner Up at Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant which was held at Palace of Ooni, Ile-Ife where Animashaun Blessing, a 500 Level Medical Student of the University of Ibadan emerged as Winner, Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant while Bose Moremi, emerged as First Runner Up respectively.

My Name is Olayinka Moremi Olowokere, a 21 years old Engineering Student at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA)
Why Are You Interested In Modelling Career?
I wasn't actually interested in Modeling infact, I had never been involved in any.
Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant caught my attention because it depicts Yoruba culture. I would say that this peagent is my first.
Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant being your "Debut" Beauty Pageant, You emerged as Queen Moremi 2nd Runner Up, How do you feel about that?
I felt strange at first because I wasn't expecting anything like that, my aim was just to have a bit of fun and experience. I felt honoured and am so proud of myself for my little achievement.
Tell Us your experience during Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant 2016?
It was a wonderful one. I met a lot of ladies with different personlity and character. My confidence was put to test during the pageant as I met lot of girls with big stature and beautiful body. It was all good and awesome.
What would have been your reaction if you emerged as Queen Moremi?
That would have swept me off my feet. I really don't know what my reaction would have been like.
What's the relationship between you and Animashaun Blessing, who emerged as Queen Moremi?
Sincerely, She is one lady I secretly admired during the pageant. Her secret is her beautiful smile. If you spank her, she would still smile. I flow so well with her because She is the type I would fall in love with.
What's your own definition of Culture and Tourism?
I think it is the the value of our traditional beliefs and ethics.
What are your plans after emerging as Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant 2nd Runner Up?
I had a dream of empowering women even before the pageant. My plan is to help and support Queen Moremi, Animashaun Blessing to make this happen together.
Tell Us Brief About Your Family Background
My dad is a Barrister while My Mum is the Shell Professor at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. I'm from a family of 8 including my Mum and Dad, 4 girls, 2 boys and am the 3rd.
Tell Us Briefly what You know about the History of Queen Moremi?
She was a brave and courageous woman, full of confidence. The love of her spouse and her people was her priority.
She led the people of Ile-Ife to victory and ended the chaos in her kingdom.
What's Your own definition of Advertisement industry and Photography?
It's just a way of expressing or displaying what we have or what we want to be made known through pictures or graphics display.
What were the challenges you faced during Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant?
My major challenge was coping with pressure and uncertainty.
If You could have a Super Power, What would that power be and Why?
I would love to have the Power to give to people their most wanted needs. The reason is because I get heart broken when people live in pain of what they need.
When they have what they need, it makes life better for them.
Was your Parents fully in support with you contesting for Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant?
They were so excited, they supported me and sponsored all my activities.
How has Queen Moremi Beauty Pageant changed other aspects of your Life?
It has made me see myself from another perspective of being not just every other girl but A Queen. I can no longer go just anywhere, talk just anyhow or even dress anyhow.
Where do you see yourself in the Next 3 - 4 Years?
I see myself as a CEO of a fashion Empire. Having my brand everywhere in Yoruba states. I see myself as a Career woman and a Business Tycoon.
Tell Us briefly what you know about the History of Ile-Ife?
Ile-ife is the source of all Yoruba states. It was where our fore fathers started the race as a commandment from Olodumare. Oduduwa started the tribe of Yorubas.
Tell Us 2 Tourist Centers you know in Ile-Ife?
The Yeye Molu Water at the palace of Ooni and the just concluded Queen Moremi Statue at Ile-Ife, which is the Tallest Statue in Nigeria and the 3rd Tallest in Africa.
Aside being a Student, What else do you do?
I love Fashion and Business. I'm a Fashion Designer and a Dancer.
Are you currently working on any Project with Queen Moremi since you said you had a dream of empowering Women?
I await her orders and once I get that, the project and the good works begin.
In what way do you think Tourism can help and grow the Nigerian Economy?
The aids/money can be used for the development of local areas. The coming generations get to know things that was before them hence they would not neglect them.
Being a Student, Fashion Designer and also a Dancer, How do you cope?
It all depends on my state of mind and passion. My course isn't an easy one tho but I have accepted the stress and the tough times that comes from it because I havent reached my goals yet.

Yes, I am.
Any Words/Advice for other aspiring to be a Queen Like You?
I would just say, believe in all that can be, a miracle comes whenever you dream. Inspite of your stature or colour, be confident.
