The 40th anniversary and Hall week of Queen Idia Hall started on Saturday 15th October with the half Marathon race in honour of the Immediate Past Hall Mistress, Professor Adenike Emeke.

16th October 2016,the Inter-Hall Dance competition with Queen Idia Hall and Kenneth Mellanby Hall, other invited halls failed to show up , Mellanby Hall emerged victorious.

17th October, Health day , different speakers and free HIV test and cooking competition were held with 10 beautiful ladies in the kitchen.

18th October, charity visit to Oluyole Cheshire home and later in the evening, the Class of the divas between Idia, Queens, Awo and the females from Alexander Brown Hall. Queen Idia Hall emerged victorious.

19th October 2016, Cultural night, different cultures, irun didi, gele typing, drinking competition and all. The Next Miss Africana emerged.

20th October, the first of its kind ever, the common pot, jollof rice, eba and egusi.

21st October, the public lecture held at Queen Idia Hall quadrangle with pst longe, tiwa the tailor, and a couple of other speakers, talked on the theme, the refined woman and her importance in the 21st century society. Peteru was also in attendance.

Later in the evening, the Variety night, despite the rain which prevented our artistes from showing up, the show still held and the next miss Idia and miss phantabulous .Oyinkanade thrilled the audience.

22nd October, the royalty luncheon was held at the moat pavillion of the icc, ladies slayed in their beautifully sown Ankara fabric, guys were not left out too.

Performances from the Amuroro live band, mc wheelyems and Esther anchored the show.

Omidan Asa thrilled us, and very high dignitaries were alsobin attendance. The deputy dean of students, the hall mistress, the hall warden and the entire hall management. Blessing (projectfame)  was not left out.

23rd October, the finalist log out / bonfire was held. DJ Lobitz did not fail to wow us.

The 40th anniversary ended on that note.
