It appears Arsene Wenger has confirmed the imminent exit of Jack Wilshere from Arsenal.
According to reports in Germany, Mesut Ozil is set to be handed to number 10 jersey which belongs to Jack Wilshere before the midfielder’s loan move to Bournemouth earlier this summer.
The German star who has always shown his desire to wear the number 10
shirt and has now reportedly included the clause in his new contract
and set to be the highest paid player at the Emirates.
According to Bild, the former Real Madrid star has agreed a new
long-term deal with Arsenal but not without a clause that is expected to
take the number 10 jersey from England midfielder Jack Wilshere who was
shipped on loan to the Cherries on transfer deadline day.
Although, Ozil has been Arsenal’s major assist provider since he joined
them few seasons ago but this latest development may not please
teammate, Wilshere.Wilshere had earlier deleted all Gunners related references on one of his social media handles which sparkled initial exit rumours but Wenger was swift to clear the air, tipping the 24-year-old to become the captain of the club and even claimed he could be the future boss of the north London club.
It is now believed that the Arsenal boss might have shifted focus on summer signing, Granit Xhaka who has shown great qualities in his few games for the Gunners so far.
